My Comprehension of Cyanoacrylate Closure (CAC) for the Treatment of Incompetent Saphenous Veins

Abstract
|

|
|
Cyanoacrylate closure (CAC) of the incompetent saphenous vein with the VenaSeal system is a new technique just approved on December 2016 in Korea. This technique showed satisfactoy outcomes with low pain and fast recovery in previous reports. And in my experiences, this technique can be applied to the suprafascial area and below knee area with high safety and good outcomes. However, it showed some embrarrassed side effects called phlebitis like abnormal reaction (PLAR). I expect that this technique will be spread more. However, we need to examine the PLAR and the long term results carefully.
